Homemade Pan Pizza with Perfectly Delicious Crust from Gloria’s Kitchen

Fall is in full swing, the weather is getting chillier and the holidays are just around the corner. If you find yourself with a house full of hungry guests we highly suggest you try this incredible pan pizza recipe straight from Gloria’s kitchen!


  • 6 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 pkg yeast
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Makes: 12-15 square pieces

Directions: Mix all of the dough ingredients together in a large . Feel free to add more water as necessary, the dough should not be dry. Lightly grease the inside of a basin with olive oil and place dough inside. Set the basin on top of a smaller bowl, filled with boiling water. Let your pizza dough rise for 1 hour, then remove from the basin and knead. Add flour as needed and let rise for another hour. Again, take out and knead. Lightly grease a rectangle tray with olive oil and spread the pizza dough into the pan. The olive oil will add a delicious flavor to your crust and help it get crispy. Let the dough rise for about another hour and preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Dress the pizza dough with your favorite sauce and toppings. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Check the bottom of the pizza, it should have a nice golden color. If not, place back in the oven for 2 to 3 additional minutes.
